(Que the impending danger score). Actually, one bad thing already happened. My husband was asked to step down from participating with a holiday promotion for children because... he was helping too much. I know, sounds crazy, but to save you all from a long drawn out story, that is the bottom line and it really upset him. Will that be the only thing to hit for our anniversary curse? Or is something else looming? Stay tuned...

Time To Shed

Yeah, it is over. I wouldn't have this bomb-throwing-home-grown-terrorist share any of his ideas with my children... but is that where we are headed if Obama is elected?

I can't believe Barak thinks that he can basically

DANCE WITH THE DEVIL IN THE PALE MOONLIGHT

then expect us to trust that our nation would be prosperous, safe and righteous in his hands.

In my elementary school there was a teacher that left the school when word got out that she posed in Playboy magazine. I always felt sorry for her. She seemed really nice, although I never had her in class. But she left, I assume because she knew her past would be a BIG distraction to her ability to teach.

Obama, if he ever had an idea he would want to run for higher office, should have watched the company he kept. Isn't that one of the basic things your parents teach you?

Don't hang around trouble... some may stick to you.

Unfortunately that is a lesson Obama never learned.

Obama and his pals

You know, when I first heard about the whole Rev Wright thing I thought, hmm... I don't think I could have sat in those pews and listened to that. I surely would not have borrowed a passage from the man's ravings to title a book I had penned (Obama's "Audacity of Hope"). I would have felt compelled, from my patriotic upbringing in my school and my home, to find another church. See, my dad and his twin brother are both Vietnam Veterans. My high school had one of the largest Jr ROTC's in the country (which I joined). It would have infuriated me to listen to anything close to anti-Americanism.

With that information surfacing, Obama says he isn't close with the Rev. and doesn't agree with those statements.

Then I hear Bill Ayres hosted a launching event for Obama's political campaign from his living room and eventual Obama gave a rave review for Ayres' book (on the juvenile justice system) in the Chicago Tribune.

With that information surfacing, Obama says Ayres was just a guy that lived in his neighborhood.

There are more of these suspicious links that when uncovered Obama denies involvement in, but I didn't write this to point them all out.

My point is this...

Obama's not sorry for these connections, he is just sorry he got caught. He can't be sorry for them, really, because that is who he is. He is an amiable guy that is so accepting of all different types of people that aaallllll are welcome. No standards, no rules, just acceptance. That sounds nice on paper, but in reality it is scary.

I kinda like people that stand up to others when they are not doing the right thing.

I've been that way throughout my life. It has caused me some trouble and I wish sometimes I could just shut up and get along. But in the long run, when I see things aren't right, I gotta do something.

When I see a woman driving with a toddler in her lap as opposed to strapped into a seat belt I roll my window down and let her know what she is doing could kill the child.

When I hear people cursing loudly when children are around, I'm going to stand up and ask them to be quiet.

I can't help it. I just have to do these things. It doesn't always make me popular, but that is okay by me.

What type of man is Obama? From the people he has been tolerant of I have to wonder if he is one of those that "Doesn't want to get involved." I don't want a president that doesn't have the guts to stand up for the right thing... then again maybe Obama doesn't see his friends' transgressions as being the wrong things.

He's not sorry, he's just sorry he got caught.

George...

Looking at the smile on this child's face should make every mother, especially the ones that have boys, smile. The mussed up hair, the jersey fresh from a game and that face alight with the joy of victory!

Looking at this photo right now reminds me of why I love little boys... and it breaks my heart. This is George. A beautiful little guy that should still be here... but is not.

George made quite an impression on my daughter. They were classmates and friends. Yesterday, she sat next to an empty desk, and called me crying. She couldn't bare to stay at school. There is a void in that classroom that is as lonely and sad as the void that she feels in her heart.

"George used to stand his pencils up on the edge, on his desk and I would lean over and knock them down." My quiet daughter revealed to me later that night, with a huge grin. "He would just turn his head and give me this look! He was so funny!" Caroline, my daughter, has shared quit a few of these little glimpses into how their lives were every day at school. Then, quickly, like a curtain falling across a window, her face will loose expression and she will stare. Remembering that he is gone. She is mourning, the way none of his classmates should have to, the way his parents and family should never have to.

Heartless and cruel, these turns of events are. Without a thought of how those who knew this boy will begin to heal. The boy with the smiling face in this photo... they will never forget him... nor should they... they don't want to... he meant too much to too many...

I didn't know George, but I know he will be missed. God bless his friends and family. May God hold him close and love him, keeping him safe, warm and happy until he is reunited with those left behind.

Look what I found...

My daughter is going to be an extra in a movie this weekend set in the 80's. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' ... that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying #%*&$!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.
